What are macro nutrients? Well this is the breakdown of three components - carbohydrates ( good ones in this case!) proteins and fats. In your raw diet you need to make sure you are getting a good balance. Raw Vegans will find that they fall under one of two categories. They either obtain their calories from high fat sources i.e. alot of nuts, avocados, raw cheesecakes for example or they are high carb i.e. they obtain their calories from fruits! Not everyone will fall under these two categories but in most cases we are one or the other.
We need to make sure that our meals are balanced in all three..I don't mean eating an equal amount but eating the macro nutrients that suit your particular energy level/dietary requirements. I usually stick to a 25% fat, 35 % protein and 35% carbohydrate split..but that's my needs!
