Are you looking for incredible Raw Dessert Recipes Ideas? Chocolate Almond and Chai Truffles - The Raw Desserts Series. I've been busy in the kitchen again. I think by now you may have realised that my obsession with finding healthy ways to eat chocolate is second to none hence here we are again with another epic raw desserts recipes addition...The latest and greatest from my kitchen...

Raw Dessert Recipes - Chocolate Almond and Chai Truffles
 These tasty treats are a RAW DESSERT and are high in protein which makes them a great addition to any diet especially if weight loss or muscle gain are goals you have in mind. Protein helps your body burn fat and store muscle and assists in feelings fullness which is also great for helping you stick to those calories...Bear in mind though they are treats so try not to over indulge!


The Recipe - Raw Chocolate Almond and Chai Truffles

You will need:
3/4 Cups of Honey or agave
1.5 cups of soaked dates
1 cups of cacao powder (or cocoa if you can’t find cacao)
1 cups of protein powder (I used unflavoured Sun Warrior plant protein)
1 Cup of roughly chopped almonds
1/4 Cup of Coconut oil
1.5 Chai Tea Bags
1/2 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut
2 tbs chia seeds
1 cup of seeds like pumpkin/sunflower etc

Place the chopped dates and honey in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add coconut Oil and blend again.
In a separate bowl place the cocoa and protein powder in and stir until all dry ingredients are mixed in.
Add the nuts and seeds. Slowly add about 2/3 of a cup of water to get it mixing. Open up the chai tea bags and sprinkle into the bowl
Add the honey/date/oil mix and stir all together- make sure to really work it or you will get little pockets of protein powder- not so good!
Spread onto a large shallow tray and chill over night. Remove and spoon into small handfuls. Roll into a ball and dip into either chia seeds or shredded coconut. Even better whip up some raw chocolate and dip them in !
