It is as raw hazelnut base raw recipe has been a real hit and I have found it freezes a lot better than other nut base recipes.

So why choose a raw dessert recipe over a traditional baked or sugar and
flour laden slice? Well to start most diseases and health issues
whether they are diabetes, heart disease, irritable bowel syndrome,
asthma, eczema or even thyroid dysfunction are actually caused by your
diet.
. Sugar, wheat, lactose and high calorie and low nutritional food is killing you slowly..it's not a pretty picture. It's not even possible to expect that we can all go raw straight away. To be green and be 100% raw and free from Genetically modified, processed foods but we can add some really healthy immune supporting food in that will help with our help in the long run! So raw dessert recipes are a great way to add in a little piece of good when you feel like a little piece of naughty!

Raw Ingredients for the Raw Dessert RecipeRaw Berry Chocolate and Nut Slice - Make as a slice or a tart

Crunchy Hazelnut Base
2 Cups of Hazel nuts
¼ Cup of Honey or Agave
¼ Cup of melted coconut Oil
3/4 Cup of soaked dates or 15 medijool dates
Salt
Raw Almond Berry Layer
1 cup of almond flour
1 cup of cashews soaked over night
1/4 cup of almond milk
½ Cup of Honey or agave
1/2 cup melted cacao butter
1 tablespoon of vanilla
1 cup of slivered almonds
1 cup of raspberries
Raw Chocolate Icing
¼ cup of cacao powder
¾ cup of cacao butter
½ cup of soaked cashews
¼ tsp salt
½ cup or agave or honey
6 medijool dates or 8 soaked dates
Instructions to make the Raw Dessert Recipe
BaseTo make the Raw Base, break down the nuts into a fine crumbly mixture. Place aside and then combine all remaining ingredients for the base in the blender. Blend until a smooth caramel consistency forms. you then need to rub the mixture into the nut crumb until well mixed. Press into your tin and then freeze over-night. It's really important to do this so it doesn't get soft when you place the remaining part on top.
Almond Layer
The next day to make the cream filling you need to blend all ingredients excluding the cacao butter and raspberries. Make sure you blend until well blended and then add the cacao butter and keep blending. Scatter the raspberries across the base of the slice. Pour the almond cream over the top gently. Place in the freezer while you make the chocolate layer.
For the chocolate Layer melt the Cacao Butter. Place aside and blend the cashews and dry ingredients. Then combine all ingredients in the blender until its really smooth. Pour over the top.
Set until firm to touch in the freezer.
