This is an absolute favourite in the raw foodie circles so today I am going to share with you my own personal recipe for you to make your very own RAW SNICKERS BARS...(omg) at home! The good news is they are RAW so they have a really high nutritional content, they are natural so no processed nasties, no refined sugars, bad fats, gluten or lactose so they are the perfect sweet treat for the whole family or to wow your next dinner party!
The Raw Snickers Bar Recipe
Nougat1 Cup of Almond Flour
1 Cup of Slivered Almonds
1/3 Cup of Maple syrup or agave/honey
2 Medijool Dates
1 Tablespoon of coconut oil melted
1 Teaspoon of vanilla essence

Caramel
2 Tablespoons of coconut oil melted
1/3 Cup of Almond butter Raw
1/2 Cup of maple syrup or raw honey
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
1/4 Teaspoon of sea salt
6 Medijool Dates
Nut Filling
½ Cup of Peanuts
½ Cup of Slivered Almonds
Chocolate
½ Cup of melted coconut oil
1 and 1/4 Cups of cacao powder of cocoa
½ Cup of honey or agave
Pinch of sea salt
2 soaked dates
Stevia to taste ( optional)
Stage 1
Grab all chocolate ingredients and blend until smooth. In a large flat tray pour the mixture over so that it is covered to about 1/2 cm thick. Set in the freezer for 30 mins or until firm.
Stage 2
In a blender mix all nougat ingredients . Blend until a dough forms. Remove the chocolate base from the freezer and press the dough across evenly it should get to about 1/2 a cm again. Scatter the peanuts and slivered almonds across the base and pop back in the freezer while we make the caramel
Stage 3
Blend up the caramel for several minutes. once it’s blended let it rest for a few minutes then blend again until it warms a little and is really smooth. Taste and add salt if necessary.
Remove Slice from freezer and pour all caramel evenly across the top covering all the nuts.Give it 20 minutes in the freezer and then completely cover the top in Chocolate to your desired thickness. Freeze for 2 hours or until set.Cut into bite size slices and your done or see below to make them into bars

OPTIONAL: If you don't have a mold for separate chocolate bars and you want all sides covered. To make them into bars cut into your desired size and gently with a fish slice remove all bars. Make a batch of chocolate up and gently dip each bar coating all sides. Place back in the freezer for 30mins or until set and your done!
You can store in the freezer or fridge. I store in the freezer and will pop them in the fridge 30 mins before I eat :) yummo... raw Snickers bars ready to go

Wow, just reading this I am ready to go make snickers bars. Never thought I would eat anything like this again, but all natural ingredients, can't go wrong for a special treat.
